            Study of Proverbs
How would you like to be wise? How would you like to have the wisdom of Solomon? How would you like to be able to make the right decision every time? You say you would? Then join us in an in-depth 60-session study of God’s Book of Wisdom:   Proverbs!  Bob Tobey leads Sunday mornings at 9:30 in Portable D.

        Truth Seekers
"We believe that the war for the minds and hearts of our culture can, and will be won one student, one family, one community at a time!" With these words, Anchors Away Ministries introduces its   curriculum on Christian Worldview. How is the Christian Worldview different from other world views? What is a "worldview" anyway? Join David Lantz as we explore this topic in "The War for Your Mind" Sunday mornings at 9:30 in CE-4.

            A Living Faith
This is a 10-week DVD-based class on the basics of the Christian faith, with teaching by world-class New Testament scholar N. T. Wright. Ideal for new Christians or those who are interested to know what the faith is all about. A Living Faith meets Sunday mornings at 9:30 in the Dining Room. Watch the Faith & Life Weekly for the date of our next class.

Crosswalk Class - “Minor Prophets for Modern Times”
Join us Dec. 2, for the final lesson on Minor Prophets for Modern Times. Then join us for a 3-session class on A Simple Christmas:  Unplugging the Holiday Machine, on Dec. 9, 16, and 23. The Crosswalk Class meets Sundays at 9:30 a.m. in Toney Chapel, with Pastor June Barrow.

A Support Group: Pressed But Not Crushed
Does depression or anxiety cloud your heart?  You are not alone!  A Christ-centered support group for men and women (of any age) who are battling depression and anxiety (themselves or with someone they love) meets each Sunday morning at 9:30 in the CE-Wing Resource Room (upstairs in the education wing).  This will be a safe place where we can encourage, love, pray for one another.  Call Jeremy Van Deman at 807-3097 if you have questions or if you are interested in helping out with this group.

  Care for the Caregiver
“Care for the Caregiver: Spiritual, Emotional, and Moral Support for Health Care Providers." This class will have a seminar/colloquium format rather than a formal didactic, teaching format. All who provide health care--no matter their training or their setting--will benefit from this experience. We will  focus on spiritual, emotional, intellectual, and practical needs of health-care providers, drawing from biblical, professional, ecclesial, and ethical resources. Attendees may bring personal accounts, formal case studies, or journal  articles as starting points for conversation. Greg is currently writing his Ph.D. dissertation in medical ethics for St. Louis University. The class meets Sundays at 11:00 a.m. in CE-4, facilitated by Greg Manship.

          The Gospel of Matthew
Who was Jesus?  What did he do? What did he teach? Matthew’s Gospel, the first book in the New Testament, opens up a window on the life and especially the message of Jesus unlike any other source. Whether you have never read a page of the Bible in your life, or you have heard it all before, this class will help you appreciate Jesus’ instructions for living a deeply blessed life. Steve Matthies facilitates this study Sundays at 11:00 a.m. in the Dining Room.

Discovery Class - Study of Job
Have you ever asked, “Why, God? Why me?” Job did! Was Job “patient” as we so often hear? Job was bewildered, outraged and confused, because he felt his suffering was unjust. Can you identify? Are you suffering with family, health, financial or interpersonal relationship problems? So did Job. In our study of the book of Job, we will discover how Job questioned God about these things and see if the answers he found will help you. Maxine Heid leads this study Sunday mornings at 11:00 a.m. in  M-3.

Wednesday Night Seminar - 1 Peter
Steve Matthies leads this discussion of Scripture which meets Wednesday evenings at 6:30 in the Dining Room.
