Get Involved . . .Attend a Great Banquet

What is the Great Banquet?

The Great Banquet is an orderly, structured weekend designed to strengthen and renew Christian faith. It is a 72-hour   experience, beginning on Thursday evening and ending Sunday evening. The Great Banquet is one expression of a larger, world-wide renewal movement that began in Spain just after World War II and has gone around the globe and into every arm of the Christian Church. It is also called Cursillo, Walk to Emmaus, Tres Dias, and Via de Cristo. It reaches into prisons where it is call Kairos.

What happens at the Great Banquet?
On a Great Banquet weekend, you will experience personal,  private time with God. You will enjoy life in community as you talk, sing, and share life together with others. You will hear fifteen talks, all of them exploring what it means to be loved and forgiven by God and to be followers of Jesus Christ.

Who should attend the Great Banquet?
This weekend experience is for anyone who wishes to strengthen his or her spiritual life; wants to have a better  understanding of prayer and the sacraments, and seeks to know Jesus as Lord and Savior.

You are invited to be a guest at the Great Banquet. Ask at the Welcome Desk for an application or phone the church office and one will be mailed.
