The SPC Board of Deacons demonstrates the love of Christ through service to the SPC congregation and surrounding community. For the congregation, Deacons serve as ushers during worship services and make preparations for the Sacrament of Communion. They assist in medical emergencies during worship services and deliver audio tapes of worship services to shut-ins. For our community, Deacons reach out with compassion to demonstrate God is love in different ways. Gods Pantry contains a supply of nonperishable food that is distributed to people who need short-term help.  The Deacons Fund provides emergency financial assistance for individuals and families with legitimate needs.  Assistance includes some assistance with rent,

utility bills, groceries, and gasoline. Deacons arrange for our church to teach Sunday school classes at the Juvenile Detention Center during November and Organize the SPC

Blood Drive in cooperation with the Central Indiana Regional Blood Center. The Deacons Fund to assist those in need is supported by the Communion Offering received on the first Sunday of each month. Your support of these ministries of compassion is appreciated.
