The Adult Christian Education Program at SPC promotes the basic faith formation of each member of our congregation, helps individual members to mature in their personal faith and seeks to equip our members for the development and nurturing of other Christians, as directed by the Holy Spirit. Truth Seekers
What can a 21st century Christian living in a vastly different culture learn from a man like Joshua? Just about everything we need to know to live a victorious Christian life. Joshua’s open heart, spirit of humility, and willingness to be taught allowed him to learn God’s lesson for himself —and to lead the Children of Israel into the Promised Land. Starting Sunday, Sept. 6, join the Truth Seeker’s Class as we begin a new study of this Old Testament leader: Joshua: Living Victoriously God’s Way.

Crosswalk Class - “Discipleship” - Taught by Maureen Watson
What does it mean to be a disciple? How did Jesus teach the original disciples and how does he teach us now? If we declare Jesus as our Lord, how must that declaration change the life we live from that time on? As we read various stories of Jesus with his disciples each week, we will explore together what Jesus taught them, what he wants us also to learn, and what it means to live a life of discipleship. Newcomers are welcome.

The Transforming Word
If you go to any bookstore, advice about how to live your life will practically scream out at you from every shelf. According to the evangelist Matthew, however, God singled out Jesus and said, "Listen to him!" (Matt 17:5). Pastor Steve Matthies facilitates this study each Sunday at 11:00 a.m. in room M2 as we listen to our Lord, asking God to form our lives in accordance with his example and instruction.

Discovery Class
Please join us as we study the book of Proverbs. This study is being led by Maxine Heid. You can count on a lively discussion as we explore each lesson. Led by several veteran teachers, this class meets each Sunday morning at 11:00 in the choir room (M-3). Contact Jeanne Hollingsworth at 885-8303

Monday Evening Bible Class
Steve Matthies leads this discussion and is now teaching the New Testament book of 2 Corinthians. This class meets each Monday evening at 6:30 in the worship center.

Young Adult Bible Study
Bible study for college-age and young adults at the home of Paul Gearhart, Wednesday at 7:30 p.m.
