The Key to It All!
One event in history is unparalleled in its effect on the world. Nothing like it had ever happened before; nothing since has equaled it.

One event in history stands as the greatest of all. Nothing like it had ever happened before; nothing since has equaled it.

One event in history is the key that unlocks the significance of all the rest. That event: the resurrection of Christ.

When Jesus rose from the grave, nothing like it had happened before, and nothing to compare has happened since. The impact was immediate; the impact continues to reverberate worldwide. This single event shook religions, cultures, governments and individuals as, one by one, lives have been transformed by Christ's resurrection power.

Come look into the empty tomb. Join us as we celebrate the resurrection of Christ!

Join us for all three of our Holy Week services this week:

Maundy Thursday is your invitation to dine with the King. Will you accept? For He is a King who wants more than just your freedom, but the deepest, closest relationship with you. On Maundy Thursday, you’ll hear Scripture readings, songs and a message from Pastor Rob Hock. We’ll also celebrate the “Lord’s Supper.” (Some faith traditions call this the “Eucharist” or “Holy Communion”). At SPC, the Lord’s Supper is open to all people of all Christian traditions and congregations who place their faith in Christ for eternal salvation.

Good Friday…the King is brutally beaten and killed by His enemies. He seems to have failed in his quest. In truth, our King wins by losing. His dying accomplishes a victory over darkness and sin that resonates and resounds through eternity: “It is finished!” In our Good Friday service, you’ll hear a variety of songs and Scriptures that tell of Jesus’ betrayal, arrest, trial and death.

On Easter Sunday, we celebrate the key to it all: the truth that the King, Jesus Christ, is victorious over death! The Great Hero has conquered…He has been raised from the dead! To listen to the songs we’ll be singing at our 11am contemporary service, click here (Spotify).

What to Expect at SPC
At SPC, all of our services include singing, praying, giving and Bible-based teaching. Everyone is welcome all the time.

If you are new to church, or newly investigating the Christian faith, you may be a little intimidated even so. Consider these thoughts so you’ll know what to expect when you show up.

For starters, wear whatever you like. You won’t feel out of place unless you’re in formal evening wear or a masquerade costume.

On your way in, grab an order of service—aka a “bulletin.” Everything you need to participate in the service is printed inside or projected on the overhead screen. If you have a Bible, you can bring it with you, but you don’t need to. Scripture passages are printed in the bulletin and projected.

Feel free to sit in the front, the middle, the back or wherever you’re most comfortable. We are a welcoming group and believe relationships are important, yet we promise not to trap you in the corner and enter your name, phone number and blood type in a secret notepad. You can maintain your anonymity if you like. Your comfort is most important.

If you have questions, contact us at 534-2900 or office@SouthportPC.org.

Got Kids?
Our Children’s Ministry has full care and classes for infants through fifth graders at 9:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. every Sunday and for special events and services.

When you arrive, just stop by the Welcome Center to register your family. This step takes only a minute or two, and it helps ensure your child’s safety and security. We’ll provide a nametag and security tag for your child. A member of our team will show you to right classroom and introduce you to the caregiver or teacher. We look forward to spending time with your family!

If you have questions about our Children’s Ministry, contact Melissa Davis at 534-2900 or mdavis@SouthportPC.org.
