Pastoral Staff

Rob Hock
Senior Pastor

Glen Massey
Associate Pastor

Rob grew up in St. Louis and in Dallas, later attending Texas A & M University. On a college retreat, Rob came to know the true meaning of the Gospel. He learned that God’s Word overcomes our sin and frees us to live in complete peace with Him. Rob began to develop a deep and meaningful relationship with Christ for the first time in his life.

Rob immersed himself in Christian ministry. He volunteered with youth ministries, interned at churches, and worked at Christian camps. After he graduated, Rob answered God’s call to enter full-time ministry as a Youth Director at a church in Katy, TX, near Houston.

While in Houston, Rob became reacquainted with Kimmy whom he had met in college. They were married in 1995 and moved to Massachusetts, where Rob received a Masters of Divinity at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary.

After graduating, Rob and Kimmy accepted God’s call to move to Washington, D.C. where he served as an Associate Pastor until 2006. Rob again responded to God’s call and moved to Washington state, where he became the senior pastor of the Community Church of Ephrata (EPC).

With his passion for bringing Biblical truth to a congregation, Rob challenges us with the life-changing message of the Gospel as it transforms and renews our lives. He desires that we, as a church family, make connections between God and our lives, encouraging us to respond in righteousness.

Kimmy's story is not entirely different from Rob’s, learning about Jesus Christ through a Young Life high school program. She learned a great deal about walking faithfully with the Lord and leading others into a deep relationship with Him during her time as a backpacking guide at a Christian wilderness ranch. She remains active in ministry and considers it a great privilege to serve the Lord as He leads. Her primary ministry these days is at home as a wife and mother.

Rob and Kimmy have four children who Kimmy homeschools. MacKenzie, Joseph, Annebelle and Sammy. Soccer, gymnastics, piano, basketball and hand bells occupy some of their free time. Rob enjoys golf, camping, exploring history and reading espionage novels.

Glen grew up in South Carolina and became a Christian at a young age. Church was an important part of his life growing up, and as a junior in high school he sensed God calling him to pastoral ministry.

While a student at Clemson University, he was involved with the student leadership team of Campus Crusade for Christ and later spent a few years on staff with Cru at the University of Kentucky.  That's where he met his wife Shaele.

After earning a Master of Divinity at Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary in 1999 (he and Pastor Rob were students there at the same time), Glen served as an associate pastor in Kentucky and North Carolina and a senior pastor in the Kansas City area.

Along the way, Glen also earned a Doctor of Ministry in Spiritual Formation from Gordon Conwell.  His passion is the help people to grow in their love for God and in their love for each other.  Others say he is "down to earth" and not afraid to walk with people through difficult circumstances.  He likes to think of himself as "the guy you're supposed to interrupt," so don't be afraid to reach out to Glen and share your story.

Glen and Shaele have been married since 1996.  Shaele is a teacher and works with fifth graders at Southport Presbyterian School. They have three children: Anna Katherine (2000), Wilson and Benjamin (2002).
