Who We Are
The Food Service Ministry is a service and outreach of Southport Presbyterian Church.
We are here to provide the food service needs of SPC and the community. Our mission is not only to feed the body, but to nourish the soul through the personal interaction that occurs at meals and events where food is served.
Our goal is to enhance fellowship within the church through shared meals and to provide a service that frees others to pursue family time and ministry opportunities.
Funds received by the Food Service Ministry go to support the many activities of SPC.
Our Services

SPC Christian School Lunch Program
The Food Service Ministry is pleased to partner with SPCS to provide enjoyable and nutritious meals for children attending all day kindergarten through the 6th grade. Many school parents and faithful church volunteers help with school lunch serving and clean-up.
Southport Adult Day Center Lunch Program
The Adult Day Center provides a safe and caring environment for loved ones while family members work, shop or take a short break from care-giving. The Food Service Ministry works with the ADC staff to provide appealing lunch menus that meet the nutritional needs of their clients. Volunteers transport the meals from the McFarland kitchen to the Adult Day Center at the Southview site.
Sunday Morning Bakeshop
Located in the Center Hall from 9 am to noon on most Sunday mornings, the Sunday Morning Bakeshop offers a selection of fresh baked breads and goodies prepared in our SPC Kitchen. Specialty items available for the holidays include gift baskets, gingerbread houses, cookies and pies - perfect for gift giving! Our trademark orange almond biscotti is always available.
“What’s For Dinner?!”
Do you sometimes have trouble getting a home cooked meal on the table during the week? “What’s for Dinner?!” is a convenient and delicious solution. Choose from an exciting variety of fresh, homemade dinners that are ready to enjoy in minutes. Each week we offer 2 entrée choices, several side dishes and a dessert. Our dinners are also an excellent way to bless shut-ins, new parents or anyone who enjoys a delicious home-cooked meal. Monthly menus are available on this site.
