Life Groups at SPC

Life Groups are small groups of about 10 to 18 people who meet together regularly to study the Bible, encourage one another, and pray together. Groups generally meet in member’s homes at least twice a month on whatever day and time they have decided works best for them.

The most important thing that all Life Groups have in common is the desire to grow in their love for God and love for each other. Whether you are new to Southport or a long time member, it can be easy to get lost in the crowd in a church our size, but Life Groups give individuals and couples a place to grow in their faith by being a part of a small community of believers.

Life Groups generally run for a period of 9 months and then take a break during the summer.  Sign-ups for groups take place during the month of August and the first two weeks of September.  If you are interested in getting connected at other points during the year, we highly recommend Sunday classes and weekly Bible Studies that are always open to new members.

Life Groups VideoThoughts from Life Group Members at SPC

“Joining a Life Group at SPC means making Jesus’ Church more of what Christ means it to be - “doing life” with one another, praying for one another, learning from one another (especially from different life perspectives), caring for one another through joy and suffering. encouraging one another and laughing with one another... all while studying God’s Word along the way.”
-Aaron and Nancy Kemp

"One key element of our connectedness to SPC is our life group. It has allowed us to develop deep and lasting relationships with other believers by walking together through prayerful, intentional discussion and lively fellowship. It has encouraged us to become more active in SPC ministries and more accountable in our walk with Christ." - Jonathan and Laura Evans
