Welcome Place Daycare
Welcome Place is an extension of Southport Presbyterian Church's ministry to young families. Our goal is to encourage the healthy emotional, social, educational, spiritual and physical growth of your children. We do this while providing safe and loving care while you are away from them. At Welcome Place, your family is part of our extended church family. You will receive information about activities and programs of our church and we invite you to participate in any that may interest you.
About Welcome Place
We offer full and part-time care for the children of families on the south side of Indianapolis. Our program provides loving, supportive care for young children in a Christian setting. All activities are planned to be developmentally appropriate and to convey to the children the value, challenge and excitement of learning and sharing together.
Hours of Service
Welcome place is open from 6:30 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. We are closed on New Years Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thursday and Friday of Thanksgiving week, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and the entire week between Christmas and New Years Day.
Arrival and Departure
Parents accompany their child into the classroom upon arrival. Parents should not leave without being certain that a teacher has acknowledged the child's arrival and welcomed the child. Parents come into the classroom to pick up their child and must be certain that the teacher is aware that the child is leaving with the parent.
The only entrance to the Welcome Place is the large covered entrance on the east side of the building which opens onto the parking lot. For security purposes, all other doors remain locked and are used only as emergency exits.
